Where in the World?
The trail of tears was a trail that lead from the South East to the Mid West. This trail was the easiest route for Native Americans to travel along when leaving their homes in Kentucky, Alabama, Missouri, Georgia and even Florida. Some in Florida took ships through the Gulf of Mexico, but the vast majority took the journey by foot or by wagons. The final destination was "Indian Territory", which is present day Oklahoma. The map given does not show the route taken by ships, but it went from the west coast of Florida to the coast of Louisiana and then walked from there north to "Indian Territory".
